This is the classic Asian chef's knife and should not be missing in any kitchen. Elegant and timeless like a ‘short black dress’. It has a wide range of uses i.e. cutting and slicing meat and vegetables. With its wide blade you can easily pick up the cut veggie and place in your pan or wok. This light and handy version is extremely sharp, super satisfying to use and requires less power than its bigger brother aka ‘the heavy cleaver’. In saying this, the Thin Cleaver is for cutting and slicing, it is not used for chopping as the thin and sharp blade could be damaged.

On our own behalf: The knives are made entirely by hand by small family businesses in Vietnam. A comparison with the quality of CNC lasered and sharpened mass-produced goods is unnecessary.  Each handle is carved by hand and the blades are cut out with large tin snips without punching. The knives may have small blemishes. However, these do not reduce their suitability for everyday use and operational strength, but rather enhance their individuality and specialness. Please take this into account when making your purchase decision!
